Youth Ministry at CRC

Our youth programs are distinctively gospel-centered. The Sunday School classes and outreach programs are not merely concerned with producing “good kids” but rather spiritually-alive kids; kids who passionately love Christ and serve others.

In addition to participation in the main aspects of our congregational life (weekly worship, small groups, Sunday School, etc.), we have social, outreach and service events, as well as retreats, designed specifically for teens. Some of these are listed below:

Jr. and Sr. High Bible Studies

Jr. and Sr. High Bible Studies meet during the school year.

CRC Service Trips

This February, CRC will be sending a team of adults and youth (6th grade and above) for a Service Trip to Washington, D.C. For more details, click here.

Youth Fun & Fellowship

A couple of events are planned each season where the youth can spend time getting to know adults and one another better. Past events and trips have included attending a Fisher Cats Baseball game, going to the Tunbridge World’s Fair, a day-trip to the beach, attending Dartmouth sporting events, and having a game night.

Retreats

The youth have the opportunity to participate in a number of retreats throughout the year. We often have Fall, Spring and Summer Youth Retreats. You can read about the 2010 Fall Retreat here.

Junior/Senior High Summer Retreat

Over the past several years we’ve joined with other churches to host a summer youth retreat for 7th-12th Graders at Storrs Pond. The 2011 retreat was on July 11th-16th. Aside from the nightly worship and regular small group time, there was tubing and volleyball and lots of fun activities. However, one of the highlights of the week this year (as in years past) was the Community Service Project Day. You can see photos from the service day and read more about it on here.

The 2012 Youth Retreat is scheduled for July 9th to 14th. If you would like to attend the 2012 event, please contact the church office for registration information.

The Revolve Tour

The Revolve Tour is a weekend conference for teenage girls. This year’s topic was “Dream On”. You can see photos from this year’s event here.

Youth Event Registrations & Medical Releases

Registration and medical release forms are used for all youth events (except bible studies).

• The Youth Short Form is for day trips, and local one-night overnights. Bring the signed form along with you to the event. Click here (or right click and choose “save as”) to download.
