Vacation Bible School 2013

The Mighty God: God Leads Moses and Me

Vacation Bible School was held Tuesday, July 17 through Friday July 20 at the R.W. Black Community Center in Hanover. The theme this year was “The Might God: God Leads Moses and Me.” Ninety-five children from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade participated in the week’s events. Over sixty adults, Dartmouth students, and teen helpers, taught classes, served snacks, organized recreation activities, assisted with crafts, and shared God’s love for us with the children.

Each day began and ended with a group program including skits and singing. Our theme, “The Mighty God: God Leads Moses & Me,” used stories from the book of Exodus to show how God led Moses through the perils of life and remained faithful to him in extreme circumstances. Each class learned ways that God loves us, calls us, saves us, guides us and cares for us – just like God did with Moses. The crafts that were created strengthened the curriculum for that day, and games were played both inside and outside.

Friday’s closing program ended with a parent tea and slideshow of scenes from the week. You can view the slideshow on our facebook page. A big thank you to everyone who made VBS such a wonderful and memorable week!
